CLEVELAND, OH - (WOIO) Good news for Cleveland area parishioners!

Bishop Lennon has rescinded his decision to merge St. Colman Church and St. Stephen Church into one parish.

The two will remain separate and open.

Bishop Lennon also announced that St. Ignatius of Antioch will remain open.

The Catholic Diocese announced dozens of church closings and mergers in Northeast Ohio on March 12th, 2009.

Bishop Lennon stated that he now has a better understanding of the extent of the social and community services at the parish and outreach to diverse neighborhoods as well as the connection of these ministries with the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy.
