Bicycler Struck, Killed By Truck In Downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A bicycler was hit by a truck and killed Tuesday morning at E.21st Street and Prospect.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. when 22-year old Sylvia Bingham was crossing the street and was struck by a truck making a right turn from Prospect onto E. 21st Street.

The truck did not stop immediately following the accident and was later located by police after witnesses gave them tips.

The driver of the truck is being questioned.

Bingham, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to St. Vincent Charity Hospital where she died from injuries.
