Cop Crash: Parma Police Officer Injured During Overnight Chase

PARMA, OH (WOIO) - A Parma police officer was hospitalized overnight after a chase ended in  crash.

An officer was in route to a disturbance call when he ran the plates on a suspicious vehicle, a white 1993 Buick 4-door with license plate "AC35FC."

The vehicle was apparently stolen vehicle out of Euclid, Ohio so the officer tried to stop the driver. The driver took off. In the area of 4371 Pearl Road in Cleveland, Ohio the suspect vehicle hit the police cruiser, causing it to flip and hit another car.

The officer was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Police are still looking for the vehicle and the driver.
