AKRON, OH (WOIO) - An Akron man is behind bars after a terrifying home invasion over the weekend.
Officers arrested Tyrone J. Thomas after he allegedly entered the victim's apartment through an unlocked door, walked into the bedroom and held a knife to the victim's head.
The 35-year-old collected $340 in cash before fleeing.
The victim was able to identify Thomas and gave officers information on his whereabouts. Thomas was arrested at his East Mildred Avenue home. Officers also recovered the victim's money taken in the robbery in a freezer.
Thomas is now facing aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary charges.
