CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Lake County man gunned down during a drug-related robbery on Cleveland's Eastside.
Gunshots rang out in the 1100 block of E. 144th Street shortly after 5PM Wednesday evening.
The victim - Joseph D. Willis of Perry - and a friend went to the area to buy drugs. As they began to make the transaction, two males approached the car and robbed them. Willis attempted to drive away when one of the robbers opened fire. Willis was struck in the face and later died at Huron Hospital.
No arrests at this time.
