Life Fight: Baby Girl Clings To Life After Triple Fatal Fire

NEW DETAILS: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Three people are dead after flames ripped through their Clark Avenue duplex Wednesday evening.
A 29-year-old man and three children - 3-year-old twins and a 4-week-old baby girl - were on the second floor when the fire broke out.
The man and the twin girls died - no word on their identities yet.
Firefighters tell 19 Action News the children were in full arrest when they arrived on scene.
They added the flames were intense in the home's kitchen, blocking the family's only escape route.
"The fire was between them and their way to get out of the house," said Cleveland Fire Asst. Chief David McNeilly. "So all the rescues....we had to bring them out of the windows. We all had ladders put up to the second floor window and that is how we got everybody out of here."
There was also an elderly women living on the home's first floor. Astute neighbors were able to get her out unharmed.
"She didn't even know that the house was on fire upstairs," said an unidentified but clearly shaken neighbor. "She was in her room watching TV."
The surviving baby girl is hospitalized in Metro in critical condition.
The children's mother was out of town when flames erupted in the Clark Avenue home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but firefighters say it started in the kitchen.
