Explosive Car Fire At Akron City Scrap Yard

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - 50 to 100 cars catch fire at the city scrap yard late Wednesday night in Akron.
Firefighters were called to the scrap yard on West Wilbeth Road for reports of heavy black smoke and explosions.
Crews say the explosion sound was coming from all the tires blowing up.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Luckily, no one was injured.
