CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The man accused of donning a Sana suit and grabbing a 12-year-old girl was in court Friday morning.
Anthony Russo pleaded not guilty to kidnapping, abduction and criminal enticement.
Parma police say the 46-year-old was lurking in the bushes at Snow and Stumph Roads Wednesday morning when he tried to get a girl to come over to him.
Russo reportedly grabbed the victim twice by the arm before she ducked into a business for help. He fled and was later picked up riding the RTA.
Russo's family says the charges are ridiculous and insist he meant no harm. They say he is always in the Christmas spirit and likes to hand out candy canes.
The judge set Russo's bond at $100,000. No word on his next court date at this time.
