Funeral Arrangements Set for Murder Victim Asteve'e "Cookie" Thomas

$5K REWARD: Cleveland, OH - The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Eric Wilson.

Wilson is wanted in connection to a deadly weekend shooting that killed an innocent 12-year-old girl as she walked home from buying candy. 

Asteve'e "Cookie" Thomas was fatally shot Saturday evening in a North Broadway neighborhood - she was pronounced dead on scene.

The two men - Eric Wilson and Jame Yhonquea - were running down Francis Avenue in a gun battle around 3:25 p.m. Saturday.

20-year-old Yhonquea was injured in the exchange and is currently listed in good condition at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Wilson remains at large.

Both are charged with aggravated murder.

Wilson confessed his role during a phone interview with 19 Action News Anchor Sharon Reed Monday evening - and apologized to the victim's family.

Wilson says he understands - having five daughters of his own.

"This tragedy results from the disregard for human life of two individuals that resorted to violence to solve a dispute," said Councilman Brancetelli. "These actions are devastating not only to Cookie's family, but also to the community. Now is the time for us to unite and to provide this family with support in their time of need."

A funeral expenses fund has been set up by the Councilman of Slavic Village for 12-year-old Asteve'e Thomas.

Complete strangers are coming from all areas to donate to the "Cookie" Fund.

Thousands of dollars have been collected so far - and a casket has also been donated.

Donations will be collected by Slavic Village Development, 5620 Broadway Avenue.
