CANTON, OH (WOIO) - Canton Police have two suspects behind bars this weekend after a 2-year-old girl was shot and killed Thursday.
The child, Harmoney Sankey, was shot in her 14th Street NE home around 10PM when two armed men, believed to be Maki Ragland and William Ferguson, burst into the home and opened fire.
The men pistol-whipped Harmoney Sankey's grandfather, Daniel Sankey, then demanded money and shot Daniel in the leg and little Harmoney in the back.
William Ferguson turned himself into Elyria Police early Saturday morning and Canton Police transported him back to Canton. OH.
Maki Ragland, 20-years-old was arrested at a relatives home in Canton shortly after Ferguson turned himself in on Saturday.
Harmoney Sankey died at at Aultman Hospital.
Daniel Sankey was treated and released.
Both Ferguson and Ragland are locked up at the Stark County Jail and expected in court Monday.
