UPDATE: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Breaking new developments in the case of the Cleveland Strangler.

An indictment was filed just before 1:30PM Tuesday afternoon. Anthony Sowell is facing 85 counts. 22 counts of aggravated murder, 28 counts of kidnapping, 11 counts of abuse of a corpse, 11 counts of tampering with evidence, 3 attempted murder counts, 4 felonious assault counts, 4 counts of rape, 1 attempted rape and 1 count of aggravated robbery.

Sowell is the prime suspect in the deaths of eleven women all found on Sowell's property located at 12201 Imperial Avenue between the dates of October 29th and November 3rd, 2009.

Five bodies were discovered in Sowell's backyard and five other bodies along with one skull were found inside the home.

The Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office worked vigorously to identify the victims, whom were all African American women. Ten of the eleven bodies have been identified. The Coroner will need more DNA donated to determine the identity of the eleventh victim.

Sowell was arrested on October 31st after a tipster spotted him walking in the area of his Imperial Avenue home and alerted officials.

The 50-year-old is locked up at the Justice Center on a $6M dollar bond. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
