AKRON, OH (WOIO) - Shortly before 11PM Thursday night, Akron cops responded to shots fired in the 1100 block of South Hawkins Avenue.
The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Deon L. Johnson, called and threatened to break her jaw. Several minutes later, Johnson drove over to the victim's house, pulled into the driveway, honked the horn, but then drove away. Several minutes later, the victim looked out the living room window and saw 34-year-old Johnson standing across the street pointing in her direction. The victim then heard a shot being fired. Johnson fled in an unknown direction.
Officers recovered a spent shell casing in the area where Johnson was standing.
A warrant is out on Johnson for felonious assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, domestic violence and domestic violence menacing. Johnson also has several warrants on file, theft and assault in July 2009 and domestic violence and domestic violence menacing in February 2010.
Deon L. Johnson is 6'0 and 175 lbs and should be considered armed and dangerous.
