No Role Model: Dad Pitches Drugs Out of Car While Driving With Young Son

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - After nearly a month long investigation, detectives from Akron Police Narcotics Unit arrested 31-year-old Christopher Lavar Franklin.

Franklin was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Grant Street, after he threw drugs out of the car window. Franklin had his one-year-old son in the car at the time of his arrest.

Franklin had 24 grams of Crack Cocaine, 10 grams of powdered Cocaine, 3 grams of Marijuana and over $800 in cash.

Franklin was charged with Trafficking in Crack Cocaine, Drug Abuse Cocaine, Drug Abuse Marijuana, Tampering with Evidence and Child Endangering.

He was booked into the Summit County Jail.

Franklin's one-year-old son was placed in the custody of the Summit County Children's Service Board.
