Ex-Teacher Sent to Prison, Labeled as Lifetime Sex Offender after Student Relationship

Akron, OH - A former teacher was sentenced to prison on Friday.
Renee Smith will spend the next two years behind bars - and be a Level 3, lifetime sex offender.
The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to sex and alcohol charges last month.
This, after police say the ex-Springfield High School special-education teacher gave alcohol to several underage kids and had a two-year relationship with a now 17-year-old boy.
She has already been stripped of her teaching license.
