GUILTY: Cleveland, OH - New developments in the tragic shooting death of a Cleveland Police Officer.

Jurors reached a verdict in the trial of an accused teenage cop killer mid-afternoon Thursday.

Lamidi Kafaru was found guilty of killing Officer Derek Owens in the line of duty.

Prosecutors say the 19-year-old fatally wounded Officer Owens last February during a foot pursuit.

This, after Owens and his partner caught Kafaru and some friends drinking in an abandoned garage.

The 19-year-old could be sentenced to death row.

36-year-old Owens was a ten-year veteran of the Cleveland Police Department, a husband and father of two young children when he was slain.
