Watch Strickland, Kasich face off in second debate

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) -  Democratic Ohio Governor Ted Strickland went head-to-head against Republican challenger John Kasich in their second debate Thursday on WTOL-11.

WTOL and The Blade hosted the debate, which was moderated by WTOL's Jerry Anderson, from 8-9 p.m. on WTOL-11, WTOL.com and News 11 Now on 11.2.

Kasich, who is ahead in current polls, is a former congressman, Fox News commentator and Lehman Brothers managing director. He says he will bring a more business-friendly approach to creating jobs in the state.

Strickland is a former congressman from Appalachia and was elected governor in 2006. He says despite high unemployment, Ohio's business climate is improving.

The first debate took place in Columbus in late September.

Programming Note

Because of the debate, regularly scheduled CBS Thursday night  programs will be air early Friday morning. "Big Bang Theory" will air at 1:37 a.m. and "**** My Dad Says" will air at 2:07 a.m.

Additionally, both of those shows can be found on the CBS Video Player on WTOL.com. After the shows air on TV, you can also watch them online usually within 24 hours after they broadcast.
