(WOIO) - Board of Elections Director Jane Platten says that 205,000 absentee ballots have been received at the board so far. She says turnout is about 20% so far and that by the time all the ballots are counted she expects that absentee's will account for about 48% to 50% of all ballots cast.
She also says voter turn out will be far less than 4 years ago during the last midterm election cycle. At that time 490,000 people voted, she believes the number could be as low as 430,000.
