Another bizarre twist in a teacher-student sex scandal.
One year after going to jail, Kristen Ross says she's learned her lesson. Judge Nancy Russo agreed so now Ross is headed to a special re-entry program -- an intense form of probation.
Cuyahoga County prosecutors as well as the victim's family wanted to keep her locked up.
In addition to her released, the judge says Kristen Ross can't have any contact with kids except her own. And she can't email or text any kids.
Back in 2010 the Riverside school teacher pleaded to a charge that could have earned her more jail time.
Cops say a student at Cleveland's Riverside School told them he had sex with Kristen Ross twice on her desk.
Ms. Ross claimed the kids made it up and even left her a note trying to blackmail or get money out of her but Cuyahoga County Prosecutors say they have evidence that shows something different.
In fact, cops had records of phone calls between Ms. Ross and the kid claiming sex.
So in an effort to avoid a trial, Kristen Ross pleaded guilty to felonious assault.
She was sentenced to two years.
