Good Work: Tipster calls into Crime Stoppers and helps solve cold case

Posted: Updated:

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A tip call to Crime Stoppers has help lead Cleveland Police make an arrest in the murder of Kari Myers.

The victim was shot to death while walking with her boyfriend last summer on West 95th Street.

Cleveland police arrested Clint Jackson in connection with that crime and have an arrest warrant out for a second suspect, Cordell Smith. Both Jackson and Smith are from Lorain County.

Police say they now know what really happened during this shooting.

"It was a robbery that had gone bad and right after that these two individuals got in a car and drove back to Lorain County which added up to the detectives,"  Sergeant Dave Rutt.

Police are still searching for Cordell Smith at this time, if you have any information on the whereabouts of Smith call Crime Stoppers at 216-252-7463.
