Every time we air one of our editorials we ask you, the audience, to write and let us know what you think and you do.

Recently, I talked about the president spending big bucks on so-called high-speed rail projects. Reggie from Medina wrote to say, "The president is upgrading a system that should have been upgraded years ago. The U.S. is behind the times on this."

And Richard from Cleveland wrote and said, "We need to put our politics behind us and start thinking about putting people back to work by building a modern rail system."

Well, we got a lot of responses about public government unions protesting that their benefits will be cut.

Mary Jo, a 20 year teacher from North Olmsted - wrote, "Not only does the union reform strip our rights, it strips our dignity as educators which will hinder young people from being a teacher."

But Irene from Willoughby wrote and said, "Teachers should be grateful that they even have a job in this crummy economy.  Tell the teachers to quit their whining."

Well, thanks again for sharing your opinions with us.  As always, write and let us know what you think. I'm Bill Applegate.
