GRAFTON, OH (WOIO) -
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that the man responsible for the June 11th crash that killed two family members and injured two others had more than twice the legal alcohol limit in his system at the time of the crash.
Blood tests taken from Gerald Wetherbee after the crash indicate he had a BAC of 0.209. They are still waiting for test results to find out whether or not Wetherbee was also under the influence of drugs.
Tammy and Thomas Thomasheski III were killed in the accident, Thomas II and Danielle Tomasheski were hospitalized with serious injuries from the accident.
Tomasheski, 38 of Valley City was southbound on State Route 83 with his wife and two children in the car when Wetherbee went off the road, overcorrected then crashed into Tomasheski's vehicle head-on.
Tammy Tomasheski sustained fractures and internal injuries, she was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she later died. Eleven-year-old Thomas Tomasheski III was pronounced dead on scene.
Gerald Wetherbee was also taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for his injuries after the accident, but was released into police custody. Police say Wetherbee was a registered offender who's been busted for DUI twice.
The Tomasheski family were all wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.

The Lorain County Sheriff's Office mournfully regrets the loss of members of the Tomasheski family due to the tragic accident that occurred on the evening of June 11th, in the Village of Grafton.
Our thoughts and, prayers are with the family and, friends. We pray for the speedy recovery of our Officer and his daughter.
The entire staff of the Sheriff's Office feels the sorrow and grief of this tragic event as this impacts us all. We are all one large family. Through our devoted and. caring support we will get through this devastating event together.
Corporal Tom Tomasheski Jr began his tour of duty June 6th 1997, He's all outstanding officer who has earned the respect and. admiration of his co-workers through his leadership and. devotion, to duty.
Corporal Tomasheski father, Tom Sr retired from the Sheriff's Office as a Sergeant after a long and distinguished career.
The Grafton Police Department responded to the scene along with numerous fire and EMS units.
The Ohio State Patrol is investigating the traffic accident. Any inquires about the investigation should be directed to that agency.
