ED GALLEK

Ed is an award-winning reporter who brings an enterprising professionalism and uncanny ability to break big stories to 19 Action News.

Before joining the 19 Action News team, Ed spent four years at the Cleveland ABC affiliate, WEWS-TV, as a featured reporter. Prior to arriving in Cleveland, he spent five years as investigative reporter for WCNC-TV in Charlotte, N.C., and three years as a reporter for CBS's WHP-TV/AM/FM in Harrisburg, Pa.

Ed cut his teeth in the industry as assignment editor for the ABC affiliate WNEP-TV in Scranton, Pa., and then went on to CBS affiliate WTAJ-TV in Altoona, Pa.

Ed is a graduate of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, with a degree in Telecommunications and Journalism. He holds numerous awards for outstanding overall journalism and for his investigative work in North Carolina. He is active in his church.

He enjoys collecting music and playing his drums.
