With so many people trying to make extra cash these days, you can find a yard sale just about every weekend. So, if you're looking to hold your own, how do you get people to come to yours versus the one down the block.
Hint, it doesn't involve throwing everything you want to get rid of on the front lawn. Here are some tips that "will" work.
You have to advertise. People who make a habit of shopping yard sales, will map out their morning.
Make signs that sing! Make all the signs with the same bright colored poster board and be neat.
Be organized. Presentation is everything. Start by boxing like items together, it makes it easier on shoppers. An untidy table tells shoppers you are selling your junk.
Price things right, but be ready to negotiate.
