BRECKSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

15 year old Michael Cantu is a student at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. This summer, he hurt his neck when using a spring board to vault a pommel horse.

Michael fell wrong, landed on his neck and is now confined to a wheel-chair. He had surgery at Rainbow and was transferred to Metro. He is expected to be released in late October, right before his 16th birthday in November.

There was a fundraiser Thursday October 13th and another on October 27th at Buffalo Wild Wings in Broadview Heights.

If you would like to help, just go there on the 27th and purchase something to eat. 15% of the profits of food and non-alcoholic beverages will be given to the family.

Friends and family members will also be auctioning off baskets and raffle tickets.
