TODAY: Greater Cleveland Aquarium character actor auditions

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The brand new Greater Cleveland Aquarium has immediate openings for three character actors to portray "Captains" in an interactive, educational and entertaining manner.

The Aquarium has commissioned acclaimed theatre director Bruce Orendorf to script, cast and direct the "live" characters for Cleveland's newest family attraction.

  • Full time salary plus benefits lead character in the tone of Captain Ahab or Captain Nemo.
  • Two part time characters in the style of (1) Salty new England Sea Captain, (2) Funny/Dynamic Pirate Captain.
  • Must be able to handle dialects, direction, memorization of aquatic life info,  and character script.
  • Must be engaging and dynamic.
  • Must be ambassador of the aquarium in working with and entertaining all age groups.


Auditions will be held at general casting call today at 2PM at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium at the First Energy Powerhouse.
