Funeral arrangements made for Whitmer HS student killed in crash

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Funeral arrangements have been made for the teenager killed in a violent crash on Wednesday.

The funeral for 17- year old Abigail Perkins will be held on Saturday at Ansberg-West Funeral Home located at 3000 West Sylvania Avenue in Toledo. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. and a service will be held at 7 p.m.

A vigil for Perkins was held on Thursday night at the crash scene near Whitmer High School.

Those who attended made a poster with pictures of Perkins and signed it for her parents.

Many people also wore pink in remembrance.

A memorial has been set up at the crash site in memory of Perkins.

Grief counselors have been on hand at Whitmer for students.
