WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A man whose body was found inside a SUV in a Warren County creek has been identified.

Miley Eugene "Gene" Powell, 65, was found Friday morning by his son, according to his family.

Clinton County dispatchers received a 911 call around 10 a.m. Friday morning from Powell's son, saying that his father was inside of a SUV that was in a creek off of SR 350, just west of Clarksville and near the Warren-Clinton county line. The property is owned by Powell.

"My dad wrecked his Trail Blazer in the creek, I think he's dead," the son told the 911 dispatcher through tears.

Police say Powell's family didn't hear from him Thursday night or Friday morning, so they went to check on him and found his SUV in the water.

"He's underwater, he's drowned," the son told the dispatcher. "He's been there all night."

Powell was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the Warren County Sheriff's Office says foul play is not suspected. An autopsy will be conducted Saturday morning.
