
Columbus (WOIO) - No upset for the Illini this time. Five weeks after being upset by Illinois in Champaign, the Buckeyes delivered a little payback, opening the game with a 19-4 run, and cruising to an 83-67 win on Tuesday night at Value City Arena.
Deshaun Thomas led the way with a team-high 19 points, and William Buford added 17, as the Buckeyes barely broke a sweat.
Meyers Leonard led Illinois with a game-high 21.
The win improves the Buckeyes to 23-5, 11-4 in the Big Ten.
