BLAKE CHENAULT

Blake Chenault joined the 19 Action News team as a general assignment reporter. You can catch his reports daily on 19 Action News First at Four, Five, Six, Ten and Eleven.

He comes to us from WWJ-TV/WXYZ-TV in Detroit, MI, where he had been working as a reporter since 2002.

Blake started his on-air television career in 1989 at KMST-TV, located in Monterey, CA. From there, he traveled all over the country, anchoring and reporting at KGET in Bakersfield, CA, KSHB in Kansas City, WCIV in Charleston, SC, WHOI in Peoria, IL, KXAS in Dallas and WWJ/WXYZ in Detroit. During his 17-year reporting career, he's made a name for himself as a crime reporter, state capital reporter and environmental reporter.

From former presidents to hurricanes and tornados, Blake has covered it all!

Blake earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Colorado State University. He has also been recognized with several awards for his work in journalism, including 1996 A.P. Spot News 2nd place and 1992 A.P. Spot News 1st place.
