19 Action News Meteorologist

JON LOUFMAN

Jon Loufman joined the 19 Action News team as the weekend meteorologist in August of 2002.

Jon is no stranger to Cleveland weather or to forecasting it.  He has been anchoring the weather here in his hometown for more than fifteen years. A past president of the Northeast Ohio chapter of the American Meteorological Society, Jon holds a masters degree in his field and was inducted into the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002.

Jon also shares his weather knowledge with local teachers and students.   He has taught meteorology at Case Western Reserve University and Lakeland Community College, and he currently travels to hundreds of schools throughout Northeast Ohio presenting his "Atmosphere Adventures" program, which has a proven record of significantly raising scores on Ohio's standardized tests. In addition, Jon serves on the Advisory Committee for Community Continuing Education at Cuyahoga Community College.
